Scientific Research

Born in Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain), studied Biology at the University of Barcelona. Currently studying Applied Palaeontology MSc. at the University of Valencia. My MSc. dissertation consists on the revision of the ammonite species Balearites angulicostatus and Pseudothurmannia ohmi from the early Cretaceous of the southeastern Iberian Peninsula from a palaeobiological point of view. I am parallely working on the genus Caseyella from the late Aptian of Mexico using similar approaches. Finally, I am collaborating on a taxonomic, stratigraphic and palaeogeographic revision of all the Palaeogene gastropods (both continental and marine) from Mallorca.

Scientific interests:

- Palaeobiology, evolution and taxonomy of early Cretaceous ammonoids, especially Ancyloceratina from the Hauterivian.

- Cenozoic terrestrial, freshwater and marine gastropods. Evolution, taxonomy and palaeobiogeography.
